*It Just Keeps Snowing!*

The snow continues to fall up at the Teeny Tiny!

On Monday we had to abandon our tiny four-wheel snow plow and have a larger tractor/plow come and dig us out as pictured above. Notice the snow on top of the original Teeny Tiny Cabin! We are hoping the old roof survives another year of heavy snow.

This is another picture of my daughter Shannon, taken this afternoon, while standing in front of our pond. (Really! there is a pond there!)

Here she is again--attempting to make a snow angel! We now know it is very hard to make a snow angel in four feet of snow.

(You'll be seeing more of Shannon around the Cabin--she has come to stay with us for while as she helps us begin some new business ventures.)

Like most of you, I've been busy packing up the Christmas decorations and getting the Cabin back in order. Our new year seems to be starting out with a lot of exciting things going on at church and home.

My first resolution this year is to be mindful of and not take for granted-the simple gift of life. I want to remember to frequently stop as I go about my day and take a moment to simply give glory to God for the gift of breath, of sight, and of hearing.

To be thankful for life itself--and the privilege of enjoying it with Him!

"For in Him we live and move and exist."

Acts 17:28

Leaving you today with some scans from my 1924 National Cloak & Suit Co. Fall and Winter Catalog.

Hope you enjoy!

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by the Teeny Tiny Cabin today!

Just a few pictures on the amazing amount of snow that has fallen today!

Remember this picture from yesterday?--Well, about six more inches had fallen throughout the night and we were able to walk out the door to our truck this morning without too much problem. But when we returned home from church this afternoon, this is what we found!--

My daughter Shannon is standing next to the same unmoved car which is in the above picture

I am taking this picture a few feet away on the front porch of the Cabin.

We had to literally tunnel our way up the driveway! (notice Buck in the background!)

It's still snowing.

Have a blessed Lord's Day!

~Dog Days~

Our New Year's day kind of went "to the dogs"!

And to SNOW!

We slept in, made a big pot of spaghetti sauce & a Banana Split cake, then started out on what we had planned would be-"a good stretch of the legs". But the biting wind and snow began to take its tole on us-so half way-we headed back.

The wind was blowing and howling through the woods. . .

but Spurgie and Buck thought it was great weather for some "puppy dog games"!

Had to get a "snowed-in" picture of Hatch creek on our way back . . .

And some head shots of our regal boys!

*****

Today, the wind blew even harder up at the Teeny Tiny Cabin!

I think we may be doing a bit of digging out come tomorrow morning!

Hope your having a great start to the New year!

With Love from the Cabin!

A Blessed and HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my dear blogging friends!

(1935 greeting card gift calendar)

"Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."

Philippians 3: 12-14

*The Last Days of Christmas 2009*

Hello Dear Friends!

Getting things ready today for a New Year's gathering with family. Nothing fancy-just will be bringing in the New Year together on New Year's Eve, followed by fun, food, and sweet fellowship on New Years Day.

The last of the pictures of my Christmas garland . . .

And one last Christmas corner . . .

Went by a little too fast for me this year--a bit hard to let go-- savoring the next few days of twinkling lights, glitter, shiny garlands and bowls full of ornaments, spiced oranges and pine needles, candy canes, snowmen, and family.

*****

Thank you, dear blogging friends, for taking a peek at my little corner of the world and sharing this wonderful season with me! As always, your kind comments have never failed to brighten my days and warm my heart!

*Some Vintage Cards & A Wise Catagory*

I love vintage greeting cards!

I love the many different styles, colorful graphics and beautiful, often detailed, artwork. Didn't get a chance to post some of the more festive, and cute cards before Christmas as I have in the past. So now, as the holidays are beginning to wind down-thought I'd post some of the more peaceful, country scene cards from the late 1950's to 60's .

Here's a few from my collection . . .

The following, however, is my favorite new card in my collection. It is also a very, very special gift, from my 9 year old grandson, Ethan.

Ethan made Christmas cards for the whole family- Each one included a Bible verse and a different and special little drawing.

I was thinking about the Wise men today.

When we read the biblical account of the Lord Jesus's birth, we will find that-

some are hostile, some are indifferent and some seek and adore Him.

May we be like the Wise men!

O Come, Let us adore Him!

*Brr! It's Cold Outside!*

Hello Dear Friends!

It's cold, snowy and windy at the Teeny Tiny Cabin this evening!

The falling and blowing snow was so pretty that I just had to get out and savor it a bit while PB plowed the driveway. The Buckeroo not only loves the snow, but is also obsessed with the plow! He absolutely MUST chase it!

A very good way for my crazy boy to get some much needed exercise!

I had a lovely Christmas!

My daughter Heather, worked very hard (after just moving a week before!), to make the day festive, and very, very special for us! We enjoyed each others company, a lovely dinner, all sorts of treats, and just plain old relaxing around the fireplace. On Christmas day, I loved watching my grandkids enjoying the day. And I spent the whole afternoon talking with my little Izzy as we set up her new doll house together.

Nothing could be better than that!

I did finally finish that Christmas garland I was working on--a little less detailed than what I first had in mind-but happy with the vintage touch it added to the dinning room.

Since it's already midnight here-show you the rest later today :o)

*****

Leaving you with some peeks of Christmas cheer from a few nooks and crannies around the cabin. . .

Have a Merry Christmas Week!

Thank you all so very much for stopping by!

With Love from the Cabin,

Claudia O.
